Facebook Bans Guns And Weapons Ads In The U.S. Starting On The 17th

According to a Reuters report on January 17th, Facebook will ban advertisements for guns and weapons in the United States from the 17th until at least two days after the inauguration of Biden on January 20.Following the attack on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters on January 6, the social media company stated, “We have banned advertisements for weapons, ammunition, and silencers, but we will now also ban advertisements for accessories. ." 

  Three U.S. senators wrote to Facebook CEO Zuckerberg on Friday, asking him to permanently block advertisements for weapons that are clearly used in armed combat.
